About BLS Employment Projections
The Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes 10-year employment projections every two years. The projections estimate how many workers will be employed in each occupation at the end of the decade, along with projected annual openings (which include both new jobs and replacement needs). "Faster than average" means projected growth of 5% or more; the average across all occupations is about 3%.
